Tuesday December 13, 2011
5:00 – 8:30 pm
In December 2010, the Canadian Task Force on Social Finance launched the landmark report Mobilizing Private Capital for Public Good. Please join us to mark the first anniversary; reconnect with members of the Task Force, hear from Nonprofit Finance Fund CEO Antony Bugg-Levine, and meet with a growing network of individuals and organizations to champion the development of impact investing in Canada.
Task Force Chair and MaRS CEO Dr. Ilse Treurnicht will highlight leadership initiatives in the field and look towards the future, identifying opportunities for continued progress.
Join us to re-visit the recommendations of the Task Force and share in a conversation that will map the trajectory of the field from both national and global perspectives.
We are also very pleased to welcome back to Toronto, US-based, Nonprofit Finance Fund CEO Antony Bugg-Levine. How can impact investing contribute to creating sustainable value in the Canadian society? Bugg-Levine will draw upon global trends to help answer this question during the Canadian launch of his groundbreaking book, Impact Investing: Transforming How We Make Money While Making a Difference.
