Abigail Slater

General Partner, Marigold Capital

Abigail has over 20 years of experience in concept development and creative strategic thinking, developing, executing, and managing start-up foodservice operations. As General Partner of Marigold Capital Fund, a private impact investment fund focused on gender lens investing, she is working to change the way capital is allocated and distributed. In addition to mentoring and advising entrepreneurs, Abigail is former chair of SheEO Canada Fund. She has served on the boards of Venture for Canada (Treasurer), Foodshare and Centennial College, where she currently serves as Chair of the Policy and Procedures Committee. She also sits on the Sinai Health Foundation Innovation Committee. Abigail is the proud recipient of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2014 for the work she and her sister have done in the charitable sector. She graduated from Smith College with a BA in Economics and has an MBA from the Schulich School of Business.
