Marc is a Partner at DBL Partners. Prior to DBL, he was a General Partner at Technology Partners, which he joined in 2012.
Marc’s venture investing career began early last decade when he spent six years as a Managing Director at VantagePoint Capital focused on energy and advanced technology investments.
During Marc’s 10 years in venture investing he has backed numerous successful companies in the material science and energy efficiency sectors, such as Bridgelux, Amprius, iWatt and Kaiam Inc.
Prior to his venture capital career Marc spent 25 years in both venture-backed startups and multi-national public companies in Silicon Valley and abroad. These included: Director of Engineering at XMR, the world’s foremost Excimer laser company; Chief Operations Officer at Purus, an advanced water purification company; Vice-President/General Manager at Microbar, an advanced semiconductor equipment manufacturer, and Vice-President/General Manager at ATMI, a global, publically traded, advanced semiconductor/biotech materials company.
Marc has held numerous director positions at semiconductor, clean energy and clean water companies and enjoys assisting entrepreneurs in their quests to grow exciting new ventures.
Marc is a graduate of Santa Clara University and holds a degree in electrical engineering with an emphasis on high-energy physics. Marc is active at SCU, serving on the board of the business school’s accredited Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Marc was recently selected to be Chairman of the board of SCU’s Engineering School. He serves as an advisor to University of California at Davis’ Center for Innovation.
